Embrace Opportunity with these Chamber benefits
We invite you to click here to see a complete list of our upcoming Chamber events. We provide our members with opportunities to connect and network every month through these events which include: a Third-Thursday Chamber Breakfast; a Women In Business program; the Saratoga Young Professionals Network; our legendary after-hours Networking Mixers; special lunches, and more. We also have business leads groups and business development groups. Please contact Denise Romeo for more details and to learn which one of our many networking events might help you to connect with the right people.
We pull out all of the stops to promote our members. We held 80 ribbon cuttings in 2014 alone to promote members when they opened new locations or expanded their facilities. Our online business directory is a popular local search engine that allows us to encourage members to do business with other members and to promote our members to local residents, visitors and those relocating to Saratoga County. Our members can promote their events on our community events page for FREE. Members are also promoted via our extensive social media sites and the various social media campaigns we champion, such as: #ilovesaratoga, #shopsaratoga and #healthysaratoga. We print and distribute tens of thousands of Dining Guides, Health & Wellness Guides, a Lodging Guide, a regional map, and a Shopping Guide. Members can secure affordable advertising to communicate specific messages to our 2,500+ members via our printed newsletter or our email newsletter. Please contact Keith VanVeghten to explore the many ways we can help to promote your business or organization.
Small Business Assistance
We offer FREE and CONFIDENTIAL professional support and advice to local business owners and entrepreneurs. Whether you are looking to develop a business plan for a new venture or to secure financing for an expansion, our expert SCORE volunteers are just a phone call away. On average, they have helped over 500 individuals all across Saratoga County each year to make smart business decisions. Please call the Chamber at 584-3255 and our staff will connect you with our local SCORE volunteers to setup an initial background interview.
We offer a range of health insurance products primarily for business owners who work for themselves and have no employees or small local family owned businesses with 2-49 employees. We’ve been helping our members to select a plan that is right for them and their employees for many years. To learn more, please contact Deb Zeman to get a complete list of available plans.
Working with our partner, Energy Next of Saratoga Springs, we have been helping local organizations in the public, private and nonprofit sector to reduce their electricity and natural gas bills for nearly 20 years. Members participating in this program take advantage of group energy purchasing discounts allowed in New York State to actually reduce your utility bills. To learn more, please contact Denise Romeo and she’ll help you get a free savings analaysis.
We are visible and vocal advocates for our members and our communities. From local City and Town Halls, to Albany, to Washington D.C., we are a resource to our elected officials in an effort to promote laws, rules and regulations that help to expand economic opportunity in Saratoga County. Our efforts have protected the future of our area’s equine industry and the Saratoga Race Course. We’ve brought people together to expand our countywide hiking and biking trail network and to build new parking garages in Saratoga Springs. We’ve also helped local businesses to cut through the red tape that can sometimes serve as a barrier to new startups or new investments.
We created our Job Zone years ago to help connect job seekers with our members in Saratoga County who are looking to find talent to fill open jobs. There are more than 2,000 registered employer contacts that now can use our Job Zone to post local job openings. New jobs are posted every week on our job zone. The Job Zone allows employers to post openings for full-time, part-time and seasonal jobs as well as volunteer opportunities at local nonprofit organizations. Click here to find out how to post a job or to see what jobs are available right now!
