Labor Day Weekend marks the final days of the 2016 Saratoga Meet! They will be wrapping up their Fan Appreciation Week with the running of The Grade 1 Spinaway and The Woodward on Saturday, September 3rd. Sunday will host the final Giveaway Day, with paid admission patrons receive a commemorative Long Sleeve Pullover, while supplies last. Also, Monday marks the final Berkshire Bank Family Mondays when the first 500 children ages 12 and under will receive a drawstring bag filled with school supplies.
The track season doesn’t end without a bang, so head to Downtown Saratoga both Saturday and Sunday for a night filled with live music and entertainment. Bring the whole family to the Final Stretch Music Festival for two nights of fun from 7pm to 11pm. Stroll all around Downtown, take in the scenes and sounds, and say goodbye to another memory-filled, exciting thoroughbred race season.
Still need more horse fun? Head to the final two 2016 Saratoga Polo matches on Friday and Sunday night at 5:30. Enjoy the fast-paced, live polo from the general admission or Clubhouse. Plus, the ponies at the Saratoga Casino & Raceway’s are still trotting around the beautiful half-mile track for their 75th anniversary season Thursday, Friday and Saturday night with a 7:05PM post time.
Check out the Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center 90 minute walking tours exploring legends and lores as you walk through history around Congress Park and Saratoga, Friday and Saturday at 10:30am. Or enjoy a docent-led garden tour on Sunday at the historic, Saratoga artist retreat, Yaddo. Or explore the gardens on your own daily from dawn to dusk, free and open to public.
Hit the water with a Saratoga Lake Sunset Cruise Friday night! Grab your favorite beverage, sit back and relax on this 90 minute cruise and the sun slowly sets over Saratoga Lake. Your Captain will tell you about the lake’s rich history and show you one of Saratoga’s best kept secrets! Or head over to the quaint Ballston Spa for their First Friday festivities. This month’s theme is “Chalk Walk & Side Walk Sales” and "Fall Fun," so stroll around town and enjoy the arts and entertainment, Friday from 6pm-9pm.
